Cartoon Honey Bees
Step One
Draw a circle. After you complete the circle, draw the other shape above. Think of the second shape as a distorted oval. This will serve as the body for the cartoon honey bee.
Step Two
Add the bee wings by creating two oval shapes that face in opposite directions. The wing in the background should be much smaller than the wing in the front. The left eye is a long, narrow oval, and the right eye is 3/4 of a circle. Also, add the cartoon bumble bee antenna by drawing the shapes above.
Step Three
Erase the excess lines on the wings to make them look like the picture above. Add the cartoon bee arms by drawing shapes like above. Keep the hands simple for now by drawing diamonds. Add a triangular stinger pointing to the right. You will need to slightly curve the bee stinger later on.
Step Four
Add the mouth to the cartoon honey bee by drawing a crescent moon shape. You will need to also add the bee stripes at this time. The stripes curve upward and are thicker on the left than they are on the right. Also, add circles to the top of the antenna. From here on, simply use the picture below as your guide. Practice makes perfect!
